This site has been writing about weight-loss pills, supplements and diet products since 2017. In 2026 we did a full content reset: the landscape changed, prescription GLP-1 medication entered the picture, several of the ingredients we wrote about back then are no longer worth recommending, and our voice in 2018 was more affiliate-y than it should have been.

What we do now

Honest reviews and explainers. If a product or ingredient does not have research behind it, we say so. If a category has been overtaken by something better (often a prescription option), we say that too. We would rather tell a reader “this is not worth your money” and lose the click than push a product we do not believe in.

How we make money

Some links go to Amazon or to the product’s own site. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We do not take payment from brands in exchange for favorable coverage. Anything we recommend is something we would tell a friend to look at; anything we do not recommend, we will say so plainly.

Who this site is for

Adults thinking about a weight-loss product and trying to figure out whether it is worth trying, what the realistic effect is, and what the more evidence-based option might be. We are not a medical site, and nothing here is medical advice. For anything that touches your health, talk to a healthcare professional.

How to reach us

The contact page is the fastest way. We read everything, and reader questions are the main reason posts get updated.
